Pasvik Adventure - travel in the outskirts of the Siberian Taiga

102 - The "forgotten Road" to the Pasvik Valley

The first part of this trip we will travel by car/bus to catch some of the history from before roads were built from Kirkenes and up to the Pasvik Valley. We will visit the old boarding school and chapel at Strand, and we will visit the old graveyard that holds great history of the valley. 
We will also pay a visit to the "new" chapel at Svanvik. From there the trip goes to the old Svanvik Farm, where travelers wouls connect with the river to get to their destination. 
Further we will travel to Utnes, which was a later river connection.

The last part of the trip goes by boat out on the Pasvik river, the same route that was commonly travelled until the 1930's. 

Dinner and coffee will be served on this trip.

Price: NOK 2 100 per person (children 12 and under NOK 1050 per person).
